Arrest warrant against Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababdu Naidu, asked to appear before court

A non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued towards Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister P Chandrababu Naidu and 15 others. A courtroom in Maharashtra has ordered the police to arrest and produce Naidu and others earlier than it by September 21.
The arrest warrant was issued in reference to a protest in 2010 when Naidu and others have been opposing a water challenge in Babli (Maharashtra) throughout the Godavari. The police had then arrested Naidu and others and lodged them in a jail in Pune. They have been later launched.

Again then, Naidu was the Chief of Opposition of then united Andhra Pradesh. He was protesting on the grounds that the Babli challenge would adversely have an effect on folks in Andhra Pradesh.
The arrest warrant has been issued by judicial firstclass Justice of the Peace of Dharmabad in Nanded district of Maharashtra primarily based on a petition filed by a neighborhood resident.

The Andhra Pradesh chief minister and others have been charged beneath the Indian Penal Code with offences like assault or prison power, to discourage public servant from discharge of obligation, voluntarily inflicting damage by harmful weapons or means, act endangering life or private security of others, prison intimidation, amongst others.
It’s BJP’s handiwork: TDP
In the meantime, Naidu’s social gathering, the Telegu Desam Celebration (TDP), has alleged that the arrest warrant is handiwork of the Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP). TDP spokesperson Lanka Dinakar mentioned the BJP is “plotting the arrest warrant”. He mentioned the BJP is “concentrating on” Naidu as a result of he moved out of the BJP-led Nationwide Democratic Alliance.
Naidu’s son and state Data Expertise Minister, N Lokesh mentioned his father and different TDP leaders will seem earlier than the courtroom.
“He fought to guard the pursuits of Telangana. He even refused to hunt bail when he was arrested,” Lokesh mentioned.
