Mobile bills to become cheaper, TRAI slashes international incoming call termination rates
New Delhi: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Friday slashed worldwide incoming name termination charge to 30 paise per minute from 53 paise per minute.
These charges are paid by international carriers for terminating worldwide calls in India.
The blended termination charge paid by Indian operators is round Rs. three.50 a minute for outgoing worldwide calls in comparison with 53 paise per minute termination charge obtained by them on incoming worldwide calls
Quite the opposite, Mobile operators’ affiliation COAI, a few months in the past, had favoured a steep hike in worldwide termination fees stating that there’s a have to bridge the hole between blended termination charge paid by Indian operators for outgoing worldwide calls and the termination charges obtained by them on worldwide incoming calls.
