Retail Sector can create linkages between various sectors and contribute to GDP: Prabhu
New Delhi: Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu on Friday stated that there was immense alternative within the Retail Sector to create downstream and upstream alternatives.
It could create linkages between varied sectors akin to manufacturing, agriculture and providers to create jobs and contribute to the nation’s GDP, he added.
“Inclusive progress by taking the society alongside and different entrepreneurs would be the actual game-changer for the retail sector,” Prabhu stated whereas launched the CII-JLL Report – Fuelling the Retail Revolution – The Paradigm of Rising Cities.
Talking on the proactive function performed by authorities at the moment in initiatives for the retail sector, he added, “…at the moment we try to undertake a coverage which is able to create an ecosystem the place retail is not going to solely attain our plenty but in addition create alternative for jobs and contribute to the financial system.
